Looking for an early summer trail ultra to add to the calendar? Nestled in the Heart of the Willamette Valley sits the highest peak in the Oregon Coast Range, Mary's Peak at 4,101 feet. Mary’s Peak was known as Chateemanwi, or “place of spiritual power” to the native Kalapuya tribe who used the land for spirit quests. On June 14, it will play host to the Mary's Peak trail races put on by Oregon Trail Runs. The day offers three distances. Participants can tackle the 25K, 50K or go all in with the 50-Mile race. Max capacity of this event is 300 runners, so get signed up before spots are gone.
